You will have the impact on Dust aswell as they will have impact on you (as long as you play the part of EVE where they meet each other).
But it is two separate games that are linked. People pay for them separately, you don't buy one get one free. So I can understand people getting a bit impatient about extended downtime for a game they don't subscribe to, especially as EVE players were in the EVE universe first.
But then surely CCP would have expected this or if they didn't they should have.
Edit: ok, Dust is none subscription iirc, but you need a console, so people like myself won't be playing Dust anyway, as don't own a console anymore and don't intend to get one. |

To be fair to them; I think they did realise, what they didn't realise is how often Dust could interfere with the running of EVE. |

To be fair to them; I think they did realise, what they didn't realise is how often Dust could interfere with the running of EVE. Which is virtually none at all. A few minutes here and there isn't an issue for most adults, especially when you consider that downtimes are regularly much shorter than they are scheduled for. Unless, of course, they prefer that CCP keep the servers offline the fully alloted time each day so as not to cause confusion.
As well as patching like on the UK bank holiday, which people remember. When people moan about things they're usually trying to make a point as well. So they're also thinking about all the possible DTs due to Dust which will be in the future even when nothing is being done to EVE which is the one they pay for. |
